Dead links detection
I've just installed Foxmarks ... great. Just an idea: would it be possible to add in the Tool menu a dead links detection (as AM-DeadLink does it)

The company has this under consideration.

Inappropriate?Yes it would be possible! We're definitely considering adding this one as we know how time consuming bookmark management can be once you have a whole bunch of them. Thanks for sharing this idea!
I’m confident

Inappropriate? You can view this programs - bookmarks managers for organise, sychronize your bookmarks between any browsers or computers. It is possible to verifying links.
Probably it will be interesting to you. -
Inappropriate? It is possible to do the same with megaupload, rapidshare, etc links, like now do:
The Cavern Links Checker (script of Greasemonkey)
I’m kidding

Inappropriate?I would suggest that Xmarks automate the process, automatically deleting the dead links, perhaps putting them into a 'dead' folder in case the user wants to review them. Xmarks could also suggest alternate bookmarks in place of the dead link.

this is one of the best points

Needs to be an optional selection. I do not want anything done to my links that I do not totally control. How dead is dead? Maybe I want to redirect to an archive or mirror or relocation. -
An option which could be set for certailn links not to be deleted when not reachable could be sensefull. I just think about internel development and links to development Servers which are not reachable from outside the companies. -
RRProsek,
How about an option that just detects the dead links and then waits for the user to decide which if any of them get deleted? -
Inappropriate?Needs a variation that detects when the link reaches something, but not the intended web page. A typical problem with most links to NewsDaily.
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?Better yet, how about a way to see which bookmarks have been updated? Years ago, I used a program called Powermarks that did just that, and worked perfectly. However, the author decided not to support it anymore, and I've been desperately looking for a replacement ever since.
