Deleting all passwords on Firefox closing, but keep it at Foxmarks to sync again.
Foxmarks password sync is the best feature ever!
But it could be even better. This is the situation:
1) I have a Firefox installation on my computer at home
2) I have a Portable Firefox on my USB device
In case I lose my USB device I do NOT want my passwords to be on it. So, here is what I do: my Portable Firefox is set to automatically delete ALL my private data on closing (Firefox -> Options -> Privacy -> Always clear private data when I close Firefox).
So the best thing would be:
1) when I open Portable Firefox, Foxmarks asks my password and PIN for syncing bookmarks and passwords with the server.
2) when I close my Portalbe Firefox, Foxmarks firsts syncs my new bookmarks and passwords with the server
3) then Portable Firefox deletes all personal information (including passwords) on my USB device.
4) every time I use my Portable Firefox these steps are repeated. This way my passwords are ONLY stored on my USB device when I'm actually using it!
That would be great! Wouldn’t it?
The problem:
In the most recent version of Foxmarks, when Portable Firefox deletes all personal information, the next time Firefox starts Foxmarks states: "Foxmarks has detected that you cleared your passwords." and the only possibilities I get are "cancel", "delete passwords on server" or "disable password sync"
It does not offer me the possibility to get all passwords from the server...!
Please implement this feature!

Inappropriate?this should be very very easy to implement, just add a button "get passwords from server" when Foxmarks detects that the passwords have been deleted...!
-
Inappropriate?Technically this feature already exists, but in a roundabout fashion. Once you get the warning that you've deleted your passwords, you can then download your passwords from the Foxmarks server via Tools > Foxmarks > Settings, "Advanced": "Download". (Note that this also downloads your bookmarks.)
We'll consider a simpler implementation, though. Thanks for the suggestion!
