Do I really have to go to Xmarks?
I like Foxmarks, as is, and even though I think the improvements are great, they aren't something I would use.

Current Foxmarks users will receive an automatic upgrade notice during the first half of April 2009. If you choose not to upgrade, your current version of Foxmarks will continue to work for the foreseeable future. We can't guarantee support for legacy products indefinitely but we'll do our best to keep Foxmarks clients working with our web services for a long time to come.

Inappropriate?Yep...Xmarks sound like some more useless crap! All I care about is My bookmarks and not all that other useless junk!!

Inappropriate?I hoped they wouldn't forget the KISS principle. The stuff that will be in xmarks is the kind of stuff I always try to block/deactivate, as is always means compromised privacy and wasted bandwidth with suggestions for tons of crap I am never interested in.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?I'm with JB, I just want a lightweight bookmark synchronizer. I really don't care about the 'new", seemingly more bandwidth hungry features.
I’m wary

Inappropriate?I totaly agree. I don`t want useless stuff, I want to store my bookmarks - so I choose foxmarks. Works perfect for me - but if we have to change I have to look for an alternative.

Inappropriate?yeah--nice going foxmarks. Take a simple effective product and clot it up with crap. I think your privacy policy sucks, i think your new product sucks, and I think you are shooting yourselves in the foot. Now you're just another semi-functional overcomplex piece of "social" software junk.
I’m gonna dump xmarks

Inappropriate? If I want this crap I will switch to Google and it's Chromey Spambeast..... not going to upgrade and if I can't keep what I have without upgrading then thanks for the time guys. There is way too much nonsense on the net, all I want is to share the marks between my two computers and my USB portable.
As said by others KISS.... or go join GM on the soon to be gone dinosaur pile.

Inappropriate?I too just want a bookmark synchronizer. I have no need for much else. What are the designer's long term intentions here? I hope it is not to make Foxmarks obsolete and replace it with something that is "new and improved". Ideally, both products would be offered to users. As it stands, I have no interest in running Xmarks.

Inappropriate?I'd sure like to get an answer to this question from somebody at Foxmarks.
Can we just leave Foxmarks alone and will it remain fully functional, without having to upgrade to Xmarks?
I’m sad

Inappropriate?I don't want more crap disfiguring the user interface. Leave us the option of "classic Foxmarks", please.
