Error while opening CreateFile
I did a search for this, but didn't find it. You might not support Win7/IE8, but I thought I'd submit it anyway. It seems to be related to one bookmark in particular that has a weird character in it. The bookmarks seem to save fine from other platforms and OS', but Win7/IE8 don't want to synchronize it.
Sync Error: FoxmarksException during sync [1535] attempt: FoxmarksException [1001]: Error while opening CreateFile [\\?\C:\Users\(Me)\Favorites\(topics) ; 123
Just found out a little more information -- the link contains unicode characters. This could be because some of my Firefox browsers are on different platforms -- Linux, FreeBSD, etc. As a workaround I've used the error message above to find out what bookmark was causing the problem, and deleted it.

Inappropriate?Tentatively marking this as "Not a problem" since, as you suggested, we don't support both of Windows 7 and IE 8 yet. Hope to in the future, though!

Well - Mine is working all of a sudden. Nothing has changed, but it decided to start syncing. Good for me! :-)

Are you still seeing this? This is an odd solution, but it looks there might be a funky character hidden in your bookmark's name that is causing Foxmarks for IE to have problems. I think you might be able to get around the problem by manually renaming that bookmark before syncing with IE. You should be able to type in the exact same name, but don't copy and paste it cause it'll keep the extra character.

I have amanged to resolve this by removing the entry, syncronising then re-adding the entry. all good again now.
