Foxmarks deleting bookmarks in unsorted bookmarks folder
I have several bookmarks in Firefox's unsorted bookmarks folder (i.e. Organize bookmarks -> Unsorted Bookmarks). I usually have machine specific bookmarks in there so I don't want Foxmarks to sync this folder. I tried to exclude Unsorted Bookmarks from a sync profile, but after selecting this profile in my browser, Foxmarks deletes all bookmarks in the folder! I tried several times and still coudn't get it to work properly. Is this a bug?

Inappropriate?Foxmarks will always sync a folder to the Foxmarks server--using a Sync Profile allows you to NOT have that folder show up on a computer assigned to that profile, so everything is behaving as it should.
-
Inappropriate?Umm, is there any workaround to prevent foxmarks from touching the folder? It's pretty frustrating to have bookmarks from both machine overwriting or merging with each other.
Thanks! -
Inappropriate? The only way to avoid it is to uninstall Foxmarks--having bookmark folders change on multiple computers is the very basis of bookmark synchronization, no?
-
Inappropriate?I just want to exclude certain folders from synchronization... deleting them doesn't make sense. I hope foxmarks will include an option to mark certain folders as untouched.

Inappropriate?I cannot remove unsorted bookmarks. i have tried bringing up individual bookmarks, double clicking the star, and clicking on "remove bookmark". The edit box disappears but the bookmark is not removed. The individual bookmarks do not appear when the organize bookmarks window is opened, only the unsorted bookmarks folder which cannot be opened. This is a mess. I cannot see any advantage to the new "feature?".
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?David Martin: The Unsorted Bookmarks folder is a hardwired item in Firefox 3. If you're unable to access the folder, it's possible that your bookmark store has become corrupted, possibly due to a Firefox crash. Creating a new profile folder would probably fix things for you:
