Inappropriate? This error means that the server is refusing to communicate with Foxmarks. Check to make sure that your server settings are correct (especially the server type). For connections to the Foxmarks sync server, the server type should be HTTP or HTTPS. Generally the best route is to use the "Reset Advanced Server Settings" button under the "Other" section.
You might also receive this error if Foxmarks attempts to synchronize your bookmarks when your computer is not connected to the internet.

Inappropriate?Today i configured my firewall using the outgoing port 443 (to let some users use SKYPE), so i had problems during the sync with foxmarks, i got the message CONNECTION REFUSED.
The solution for me was to delete in my firewall the rule that was using the 443 outgoing port and create instead of it another rule using the outgoing tcp 80
Skype works well and the tcp traffic don't disturb the https traffic on the 443, so we can use foxmarks
I’m happy
