In order to help troubleshoot your issue, I'll need a bit more information. Can you copy and paste a portion of your logfile?
To do so, go to:
Firefox->Tools->Xmarks->Xmarks Settings->Advanced Tab->Show logfile
Scroll down to the bottom, and copy and paste about 5 lines above and below the error message.

I've got the same problem. Yours was posted 15 days ago, but didn't see any error log post. So, this is mine. -

Thanks for posting your logifle. It looks like you've got a corrupted Firefox profile. To create a new one, you can follow the directions here:

Inappropriate?When syncing I'm getting "An unknown error occurred (3)".
Here's the most recent log file entry:

If you're getting an Error 3, you'll have to create a new Firefox profile. Directions are in the link posted right above.
