I can't close or uninstall Xmarks for Safari
I am trying to install a program on my Mac, but it says it can't install while Xmarks for Safari is open. However, I cannot close it! There is nowhere that I can see that Xmarks is open, but I keep getting the error. I tried to uninstall Xmarks, but it says it can't uninstall because it is open. How do I close it? Safari is not open. I even uninstalled Safari! Please help!!!

I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. You can stop Xmarks for Safari here:
Apple menu->System Preferences->Xmarks for Safari->Stop Xmarks
If you'd like to uninstall Xmarks for Safari completely, we provide an uninstaller in the install file you first downloaded. If you've deleted the file, you can re-download it again, and run the un-installer.

thanks. you guys should figure out a more palatable way to ask for our info. I keep denying access to xmarks putting it off, but it pesters me every 10 minutes... very bad PR. Al you have to do is add the above option in the dialog box that keeps bugging us for private info.
