Inappropriate? We just released an update (version 0.9.48) this afternoon that should help with this. At the very least it should give us more information so we can help figure out what's going on. Can you try downloading the update and see if it's still happening?

Inappropriate?I get the same runtime error on version 0.9.85 running with IE8 on Windows XP SP3.
I've tried various things, and some of the favorites do seem to be downloading, but stop at a particular point. Could it be a problem with a particular favorite that's causing this? I'm trying to identify such a favorite on my system that might be causing it. If I find anything, I'll post it here.
I’m frustrated

That's odd, I wouldn't expect to see this error with 0.9.85. Can you try upgrading to Xmarks to see if that fixes things for you? http://download.xmarks.com/download/ie -
Exactly the same runtime error with xmarks, I'm afraid.
The only other thing I can think of is that our work network relocates our favorites onto a network drive. Could this cause the problem? I'm looking for a way to turn this off on my PC to test it - if I manage, I'll post my findings here. -
That's a possibility, yeah. But, if our program does crash, it should be much more graceful than that (and it usually is). Let me know if you manage to test that out, I'll look around on my side and see if I can figure out what would cause that type of error.
