Initial synchronisation
I have two PCs with different bookmarks. What will be the result if I synchronise them with foxmarks? Will they all be merged? How should I procede? I could not find any information about this basic problem.

Inappropriate? The first time you synchronize your machines your bookmarks will be merged. This is standard behavior for Foxmarks, and you won't lose any of your bookmarks.
Just set up an account on one machine, if you don't already have one. Then sync that machine. Next, go to the second machine. Using the same account login you used on the first machine, sync the second machine.
Your second machine will now contain bookmarks from both machines. And the next time the first machine syncs (usually within five minutes) it will also have the combined set of bookmarks.
From this point forward they will remain in sync. Subsequent changes on any machine will propagate to the other machines within a few minutes.
(You can also initiate a manual sync from the Foxmarks menu if you want.) -
Inappropriate?actually it takes up to 75 minutes for the change to become visible
(15 minutes after the last change on one machine the changes are synced to the server, once each hour the other (each) machine checks the server for updates (if you didn't make any changes to the local bookmarks)) -
Inappropriate?I would like to see a more advanced approach instead of just merging all bookmarks, something similar to a file or directory synchronisation where the directories or file contents are displayed side-by-side and the user can manually decide which entries to keep or discard.
I’m indifferent

And yet you claim indifference! :)
We'll keep this in mind for the future, though it can get pretty complicated. Thanks for the suggestion!
