Is there a bookmarklet available for Foxmarks?
I understand there used to be a bookmarklet available for Foxmarks, but have been unable to find it in my searches. Is there one available?

Inappropriate?Alas but none are available at the moment. What functionality would you like for the bookmarklet to have? Would you use it primarily to add new bookmarks?
-
Inappropriate?Yes, I'd use it primarily to add new bookmarks. In particular, I'd like to use it in the new Google Chrome browser. I know there has been discussion about supporting this in the future. In the meantime, a bookmarklet would be an easy way to add new bookmarks. BTW, other bookmarklets I for other uses function correctly within Chrome.

Inappropriate?I need one too, for my iPhone. Maybe, it'd be possible to create two different bookmarklets - one to add a page to Unsorted and another to load a page with folder selection?
Hope you'll make it soon :)
I’m not alone!

Inappropriate? Thanks folks, those are good ideas and I can see how they would make life better. We'll certainly consider both. FYI,Asmodeus, there's a similar request to yours here.
-
Inappropriate?I would *love* to see this!
I can't use Firefox at work (IE, ick!), so I use my.foxmarks.com to add links to look at later. A bookmarklet would be VERY handy!!
I’m not alone either!

Inappropriate?any update to this bookmarklet feature? every other bookmarking tool/service has them. why not foxmarks???
-
Inappropriate? No update yet, branford. We've mainly been focusing on porting Foxmarks to other browsers since most people expressed a preference for having a full Foxmarks synchronizer in another browser over simply having a bookmarklet.
As for why Foxmarks doesn't have this feature when compared with other bookmarking services, that's because we're able to run within web browsers that support a broader featureset, so we try to piggyback on that whenever possible.
This is still on our list, though, don't worry! -
Dang, good point.
However, you'd originally asked for an iPhone version, which is currently covered by Foxmarks for Safari (well, for people who use OS X, at least). -
Inappropriate?Exactly, Safari, not Mobile Safari ;) Currently it's impossible to add bookmark to Foxmarks on the iPhone.
Also, I remember there was something about an app for iPhone to sync bookmarks. Now, that would be awesome because to sync bookmarks I'd have to copy them from Firefox to Safari or IE and then sync with iPhone. Royal pain in the ass and I also hate syncing and iTunes altogether.
So, yeah, app :)

Inappropriate?A simple bookmarklet feature would be a nice stop gap feature until a full XMarks plugin is ready for Chrome. There are a quite a few that feel locked into the "steadily being assimilated by Microsoft" Firefox. From a business point of view a simplet bookmarklet feature should be easy to implement and would generate allot of good will among Xmark users (aka customers).
Other than the stock technical answers why is Xmarks afraid of providing a simple bookmarklet feature?
I’m confused
