Inappropriate?Odd; I'm not able to replicate this at all. Which browser are you seeing this in? Do you get the same message if you visit https://login.foxmarks.com/ ?
-
Inappropriate?discover.foxmarks.com:443 uses an invalid security certificate.
This certificate is only valid for *.xmarks.com
(Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain)
This could be a problem with the server's configuration or it could be someone trying to impersonate the server.
If you have connected to this server successfully in the past the error may be temporary and you can try again later.

I use 5 computers. One is OsX 10.3.X, OsX 10.4.X, Vista/64, Vista/32, XP. Same problem on all of them.
Same popup. -
Inappropriate?I have this problem too. I don't lose bookmarks if I click cancel on the popup, but its quite annoying. Screenshots attached.

I’m sad
-
Inappropriate? It appears this is affecting users who have the "Encrypt All" setting in their Foxmarks Connection Security tab. The best solution is to upgrade to the latest version of Foxmarks/Xmarks which can be found at http://download.xmarks.com. Please let us know if this doesn't work for you!
-
Inappropriate?Hi ive turned the Encrypt all to NONE but this can not be a permanent fix because i dont want to send info about my Bookmarks and Passwords without encryption. ;)
Best regards Val.

Inappropriate?Got ths Problem Fixed. Please try to set the Time right in Windows and Apple. I could reconstruct this issue on my apple and windows PCs when the Time and Date is out of sync.
Best regards Val. :D
I’m Happy

Inappropriate? My time is the same on all 4 pcs I use and I still have this error.
-
Inappropriate?PiTRiFF: Is the time correct on all 4 pcs? :)
Try visiting https://login.xmarks.com/ and let us know what error it reports. -
Inappropriate? The solution is to visit whatever https://****.xmarks.com site is giving you problems and add the certificate to your exceptions.. This solves the problem and you can encrypt whatever you like
-
Inappropriate?Gudmo is correct. At least his solution worked for me with Firefox 3.5.2 on Windows XP. I visited https://login.xmarks.com/ and added the exception.
A box with the same error, but for sync.xmarks.com appeared. I did the same again for https://sync.xmarks.com/ and now it works fine, with Encrypt All turned on.
I’m happy it's solved!
-
Inappropriate?I had this problem after upgrading to Windows 7 64bit and Firefox 3.5 as well, not sure which one was the cause but I had to add certificate exceptions for
api.xmarks.com:443
static.xmarks.com:443
sync.xmarks.com:443
www.xmarks.com:443
I bleieve it's complaing as the certificate is self signed and displaying as owned by fortinet as opposed to Foxmarks. -
RandomSpam: If the certificate is displaying as fortinet, then you're probably accessing Xmarks through a proxy server that isn't forwarding SSL connections properly. I'd encourage you to stop using that proxy, if at all possible. -
Inappropriate? You're probably using a Fortinet firewall. It's terminating the SSL connection at the Firewall so it can inspect the traffic for potential badness. Your browser has a secure connection to the firewall and the firewall has a secure connection to Foxmarks, but your Fortinet is passing its own certificate and the browser is expecting one from Foxmarks. Have your netgeek contact Fortinet support.
