Mobile favorites causes xmarks to fail under ie. 7 and 8 on xp 64 bit professional os (32 bit ie. not 64 bit ie)
In windows i.e. 7 and 8 xmarks fails with an error message when it hits the mobile favorites folder in my favorites. I found that deleting the windows mobile folder fixed the issue. Microsoft outlook automatically backs up favorites during every activesync (windows xp, vista is different). Sounds like a bug. Thanks.

Inappropriate?Hi Sue,
Yeah, the Mobile Favorites directory is a bit of a pain for us. We have some measures in place to try to make things work correctly with Xmarks and Mobile Favorites, but it's not perfect (as you've noticed... :) ). A couple of questions for you:
- Are you, by chance, using a non-English version of Windows?
- What error does Xmarks show when it runs into problems?
Thanks!

Inappropriate?I have a similar problem. The difference is that I have ended up with multiple "Mobile Favorites" folders (some empty) and can't delete them. I've tried using different profiles to include/exclude the Mobile Favorites but Xmarks for IE always fails with the error:
Unexpected error during synchronization: XmarksException [source: internal, id: -50]: putchanges failed during sync attempt
I’m frustrated

..or it often fails with this error:
Internal error while writing to your Favorites: XmarksException [source: windows_shell, id: 2]: Error deleting folder C:\Documents and Settings\Phil\Favorites\Mobile Favourites -
I just finished an update for Xmarks for IE that might fix this. It hasn't been officially released yet but you can download it and try it out here: https://static.xmarks.com/clients/ie/...
Let me know if that fixes things for you!
