Sync FireFTP login/passwords/preferences
I figure that if xmarks is already syncing my passwords that it would be nice if I had the option to also sync my MANY FireFTP accounts and passwords and info, as it is much harder to remember those things.

If FireFTP stores login information in the default Firefox password store, it would get picked up by the Xmarks extension automatically, so it seems to me that's the right way to get it done. If enough people request it of us, though, I certainly wouldn't rule it out.3 Comments

@Eric: It seems that FireFTP stores login info in the default Firefox password store, but that it isn't picked up very reliably....I've had it sync on some computers partially and not on others. -
A quick test with a dummy account shows the password getting synchronized just fine for me; preferences won't be synchronized, though, so that's probably what's causing the failed propagation you've noticed.

Inappropriate?What a fantastic idea! I am tired of realizing FireFTP profiles on my desktop computer are not on my laptop... I have to track all of the information down and add it by hand. For people with multiple accounts that can be a serious waste of valuable time. I love Xmarks and would find this an amazingly powerful addition to your service.

Inappropriate?This idea would save alot of time for my IT crew that share a XMarks profile across 30+ systems....telling people by word-of-mouth that 3 passwords have changed and the settings for 2 new accounts have been deleted and bla bla bla....it would save alot of hassle for many I'd assume.
