Sync.xmarks.com:443 uses an invalid security certificate. Solutionip.com
I received the following "Secure Connection Failed" error:
sync.xmarks.com:443 uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is only valid on the following names: soln-sr320.solutionip.com, www.soln-sr320.solutionip.com. Error code ssl_error_bad_cert_domain.
I searched the forum and saw some similar problems months ago and the tech stated the problem has been solved. Apparently not. I am running Mac Snow Leopard 10.6 fully updated, Firefox 3.5.3, and xmarks downloaded 3 or 4 days ago (Today is 9-25-09). I would like help in resolving this issue asap. Thanks!

Inappropriate?Your error message suggests that you're using a proxy server that isn't playing nicely with the SSL support in our sync service. You might consider switching encryption to "login only" in order to address that problem, or change to a non-proxied internet connection.

Inappropriate?I tried "login only" encryption, but same issue. This is on a work PC (works fine at home), so it probably is proxy-related, although Xmarks/Foxmarks had been working fine here for over a year, until recently.
Secure Connection Failed
static.xmarks.com:443 uses an invalid security certificate.
The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is unknown.
(Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)
This could be a problem with the server's configuration or it could be someone trying to impersonate the server.
If you have connected to this server successfully in the past the error may be temporary and you can try again later.
I looked at the certificate, and noticed the Organization was set to my company (where this problem PC is), which I assume should not be the case...

As a workaround, I've had to disable encryption in Xmarks, which obviously is not ideal...</my> -
Inappropriate?John: Since the problem only started recently, I'd guess something changed in your company's proxy server that caused the behavior. You could try disabling proxy access in Firefox, but your company would probably appreciate it if you contacted them first for assistance, I would guess.
