Inappropriate?Thanks for the report. We've heard of the same problem from a few other people, but only on browser startup. Are you sure that this happened on shutdown?
-
Inappropriate?I also have this regularly now, on FireFix shutdown.

Inappropriate?For those of you experiencing this problem on Firefox shutdown, what settings do you have for:
* Sync on Shutdown
* Ask First
(These settings are visible via Firefox Tools Menu -> Xmarks -> Settings -> Sync.)
Also:
* What other extensions do you have installed?
It appears that something has recently changed in the way that Firefox manages the application shutdown process; we're still trying to identify the source of the problem. -

Inappropriate?I have the same problem too. Also, it looks like firefox is looping at shutdown for several minutes prior to this message coming out. You can't tell that it's looping unless you have task manager or some other monitoring tool running because all the windows disappear immediately; however it loops for several minutes before the message comes out. Once the message appears it stops looping, and once you press OK the firefox process finally terminates.
I'm using firefox 3.5.3, although this has been going on with previous versions, and have sync at shutdown disabled (was enabled before, and I changed it hoping that the change would fix this). I'm using the current version of Java. Lastly, this happens on both my laptop and desktop computers, so I'm thinking it has something to do with the data stored on the Xmarks server. -
Inappropriate?I've also noticed that since I've been getting those error messages, the commit charge under Windows Task Manager increases to an almost "crashable" state. That is to say, if you have 918M total, then it can increase to 678 or higher... over half memory
I’m pissed

Inappropriate?Just wanted to keep this up I updated to windows 7 and I am running the stable build of windows 7 with these addons

I just recently installed grease monkey but I was having this error occur before I installed most of my addons. I do have Enable Automtaic Synchronization / Sync on Shutdown / Ask First all checked. I think this error occurs during the ask first window because I do not get that window when I shutdown I just receive the error message that was stated in the first page. -
Inappropriate?Thiis has been happening for more than three months - I just happened to be in a place where I could post this. This message
[Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80570015 (NS_ERROR_XPC_CI_RETURNED_FAILURE) [nsIJSCID.createInstance]" nsresult: "0x80570015 (NS_ERROR_XPC_CI_RETURNED_FAILURE)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://foxmarks/content/foxmarks-settings.js :: anonymous :: line 317" data: no]
This bug seems to keep Firefox from shutting down. If I'm patient Firefox will usually shut down after several minutes otherwise I use the Task Manager to kill the process tree. What's the resolution to this?
I’m dissapointed but not traumatized
