Inappropriate?Check your foxmarks.log, but chances are it's a corrupted bookmark store, which can be fixed as described here:

Inappropriate?I found the problem started when I first installed Foxmarks for Safari. Checking the foxmarks log indicated an issue with a Safari RSS folder iTunes 25 top something or other. Deleting the bookmark in Firefox and forcing a sync with the server seems to have fixed the issue

Inappropriate?Great to hear you got it working again--thanks for posting the solution!

Inappropriate?I'm getting the same error. It seems to have started after updating to Foxmarks Firefox add-on version 2.7.2. I'm seeing an error in the log:
[2009-03-17 16:49:09] Exception in AcceptNodes: Error: Places error calling function setItemGUID() {
[native code]
} with args [6528, "dewi22"] Original error: [Exception... [2009-03-17 16:49:09] Returned error: Unknown error occurred (3).(3)

I'm also getting a lot of duplicate bookmarks. -
Seems to have been a conflict with the Bookmark Duplicate Detector add-on. When I disabled it, I was again able to sync my bookmarks. -
Inappropriate?Thought I had this fixed, but I was wrong. The error three came back on all my Firefox installs whether OS X, Windows or Linux. I pushed all the bookmarks from Safari overwriting the server and one of my Firefox instances syncs, or it did twice. The others are all broken again. I've uninstalled and reinstalled and am pretty much ready to pack it in. Too bad, Foxmarks was a great product but something started going bad back in February and we aren't getting anywhere.
I have tried all the recommended fixes, none work and I simply don't have the time to muck with this. Hard to beat on something that's free though. Maybe it's an issue having set up Foxmarks on Safari (when things started going bad). Safari also syncs to MobileMe to keep my Safari bookmarks synced. Maybe there's a conflict there.
I’m seriously disappointed

Inappropriate?As I mentioned previously, a new Firefox profile folder is usually what's necessary to fix things. If you're seeing this problem recur, then it's likely that something is happening regularly to cause Firefox bookmark store corruption. Generally I've found the most common cause of this is the system shutting down without cleanly exiting from Firefox (for example, Firefox crashes, or the power goes out, etc.)
Foxmarks does rely on Firefox having an uncorrupted bookmark store, much like how you'll find it difficult to run Firefox if you can't get Windows working properly. We're continually working on better ways to report these problems, though, so we do appreciate the feedback--keep it coming!
