Inappropriate?Hey Bingo,
If you're getting the error 3 while syncing, you might be able to clear it up with a force Download, which overwrites your browser bookmarks with what is on our servers, so make sure to double check my.xmarks.com first. You can perform a Download here:
Xmarks Settings->Advanced->Download
If you're still getting the same error, you've most likely have a corrupted Firefox profile. Directions are here:
http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/M...
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks,

Inappropriate?Error 3 means "something went wrong". We're currently working to make that error message more enlightening. In the meantime, the following steps should clear things up.
* Select Tools→Xmarks→Xmarks Settings... and activate the Advanced category.
* Press the Upload button to Force overwrite of server data.
* When that completes, press the Download button to Force overwrite of local data.
If you have not made a lot of modifications to your local set of bookmarks, you may only need to do a download to get the lastest copy of the data we have stored for you. In both cases, you are essentially telling Xmarks not to try to merge any data, but to simply take all bookmarks from the server (or locally if you do an upload) and let that become your current bookmark set. This will often clean up any corruption that may have lead to the error 3.
If these steps do not solve the issue, please send us the log file (Xmarks Settings → Advanced → Show Log File) and we'll see if we can't figure out what's going on.
