XMarks and "Windows Explorer" Issue (Serious)
Been a very-satisfied user of Foxmarks. I use Windows Explorer (not IE) to manage files on my hard drives. Since installing XMarks, I now have a Folder in Windows Explorer (under my C Drive) for _every_ Bookmark Toolbar Folder. The Folder contain the bookmarks for their respective Folder.
The problem is, when I try to delete these folders, an error message pops up stating, "Cannot delete file: Cannot read from the source file or disk."
WTF? I have 33 extra folders listed in Wondows Explorer under my C Drive.
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
I HATE XMarks !!!

Inappropriate?Hi,
This is the first time I've heard of anything like this. I'm concerned too. What version of Windows are you using? After restarting Windows are those extra folders still there? (And are you still unable to delete them?)

Inappropriate?I have the same problem...I can delete them and then they return...on all 3 computers....XP Pro SP3

Inappropriate? Can you guys provide a screenshot of what this looks like? A little visual evidence might help me figure out what's going on.

Inappropriate?Agreed, visual delight would help you, but rather than expecting that from frustrated users (myself included), why dont you just create bunch of folders under *your* Favorites; add links to them; sync XMarks ; now try deleting a folder *using Windows Explorer or even from within IE* and see what you get on C:\ and in Favorites directory.
Afterall, this is Xmarks's doing and is pretty BAD doing.
You'll be pissed by what you (hopefully) see :)
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?screw the image upload.
the error in concern is the error "2", and says "Internal Error while writing to your Favorites: XmarksException [source: windows_shell, id: 2]: Error deleting local folder: C:\Users\Myself\Favorites\Links\Places
Message has 2 buttons "Help" and "Close".
Both are useless...
I’m sad
I’m anxious

Inappropriate? For the undeletable folder, I found this works like a wonder:
