I believe the issue is related to me switching to the dev channel, as the extension was certainly working fine previous to the upgrade however it could be something else that caused it as it took me a while to notice the issue. (I upgraded yesterday)
The problem is that while the extension appears installed, if I left click none of those options work and when i go to the options i am greeted with:
'Xmarks for Chrome hasn't been fully loaded yet! Please refresh this page to load the settings.'
I have tried reinstalling the extension, disabling and reenabling, killing the process and reloading it, making a new chrome profile all with no luck.
I was surprised when it didn't work on the new profile, and it was this that made be blame the new chrome version for the problem.
Also to note: i enabled chromes own sync feature, including extensions, a few hours before I noticed the issue - however this feature is disabled in the other profile i replicated the bug in so i do not believe that this is the source of the problem.
OS: Windows 7 x64
Browser: Chrome dev channel 6.0.477.0 beta

I'm also experiencing this problem! I just thought I'd confirm, Xmarks worked on the 24th. Xmarks stopped functioning on all 3 of my PCs on the 25th (the release date for the newest version of the Dev Channel Chrome 6.0.447.0).Comment

I can confirm this. I am running Chrome 6.0.447.0 and Xmarks is dead. It won't sync, I can't get into settings, I can't get to My Xmarks. Nothing.
If I go to the Extensions menu and open up the Xmarks "options" menus, I see this message: "Xmarks for Chrome hasn't been fully loaded yet! Please refresh this page to load the settings." And refreshing the page makes no difference.
Honestly, I"m about to give up on syncing Chrome bookmarks to Firefox bookmarks with Xmarks. I keep having problems. For example, I delete a bookmark and 2 seconds later, Xmarks adds it back. Or sometimes I'll add a bookmark to a certain folder, and the Xmarks will move it to a different folder next time it syncs. I can't pinpoint the circumstances, but there are definitely some major bugs when syncing Chrome bookmarks to Firefox bookmarks with Xmarks.-
Just a random thought, I had a similar probably when I had both XMarks trying to sync as well as Chrome's built in bookmark sync (found under the options of Chrome under "Personal Stuff", syncs them to Google Docs).

Hey guys,
I just noticed this too, something about the latest Chrome dev release definitely broke Xmarks. I'm not sure what's up, but I'm investigating it right now.

thank you colin, that solved the issue. Although it was intresting to use new safari in my mac, i missed using chrome. And i really need xmarks to be able to use the workflow i find natural for me and my gear.

Xmarks Chrome for OSX works fine. Xmarks Chrome Win7 just sits there. Doesn't sync. (And hasn't since mid-June.) Running 0.7.10.

Can you try restarting Chrome, then going to the advanced Xmarks settings and starting a download? That should get everything happily syncing again.
