Xmarks unable to synchronise and a constant problem
Xmarks is a disaster.
I have spent more time trying to retrieve bookmarks, deleting endless duplicates - following technical instructions to create identities - and everytime I open Firefox it keeps telling me to select between local version and server versions of ALL my bookmarks - or it tells me there is a duplicate and only gives me the option to continue and have a duplicate (what is the logic in that?!) or cancel, in which case you are back to the start again and it continues all over again.
Foxmarks never, NEVER, required any attention.

Sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused, as well as the delayed response! After reading your problem description, I would suggest verifying one computer's bookmark data, and then performing an upload to overwrite the contents of the server (Firefox->Tools->Xmarks->Xmarks Settings->Advanced Tab-> Upload).
After that has completed successfully, sync your other computers. That should get you back to seamless syncing. I have not seen this behavior before, do you have any other add-ons that manipulate your bookmark set?
