Enter time at weekly level
Is it possible for you to provide a timecard that records time at a weekly level rather than daily - like many consultants I have to fill in end-client timesheet, agency timesheet and the thought of entering time at daily level in FA is a pain.
But if there was a way to enter w/c whatever - 37.5 hours I would be using it no problem.

Inappropriate?Hi James,
You can enter a weeks worth of timeslips from the Time Tracking page. Just select the relevant project from the "Create a weekly timesheet for" drop down at the top of the page and click Go.
We're going to be making some improvements to this area of the app over the next couple of months so we'd be really keen to hear your thoughts on how we could make it work better for you.

Inappropriate?Hi Olly - thanks for that. Not sure why I didn't find it before. Now I just need to figure out if I can change the default hours from 8 to 7.5
I’m happy and thankful

The default hour values on the weekly timesheet come from the project settings. If you edit the project in question, set the Normal Billing Rate using 'per day of 7.5 hours', then create a weekly timesheet for that project, you should see 7.5 appear in all the boxes!

Inappropriate?Slight problem - contractually I'm billing hourly at £xx.67/hr - so for 7.5hr day the rate is £xxx.025 - when I enter this in FAC it rounds up to .03
This means FAC is calculating weekly bill amount of £xxxx.15 instead of £xxxx.13. Could you make an enhancement to allow 3 decimal places in rate, or alternatively a add a box for default number of hours/day for projects that bill hourly.
Another little "buglet" -whilst experimenting with the rates on this project, the client automagically changed (I have two clients -agencies - set up with the same project name - end customer - due to customer changing supplier for contract staff mid project). I've reset client and renamed one of projects slightlyto make unique, but something for you to be aware of.
I’m slightly miffed but confident you'll sort it

Inappropriate?Hi James
Given the figures you mention, it makes sense to use the hourly rate rather than a daily rate of 3dp. Presumably you'd like to see the default number of hours per day option so that the Weekly Timesheet can be prepopulated accordingly?
We're actually going to be reworking a lot of the Clients and Projects screens in the coming weeks, and we'll try to be a bit more flexible in this 'hours per day' area.
Regarding the 'buglet', could you possibly expand on what you were doing to see the client change? Was this on the New/Edit Project form? To clarify, you had different names for the clients but the same name for each of the projects?
I’m thankful for all this feedback

Inappropriate?Hi Olly,
Yes a default hours-per-day field would be great. Of course, if you didn't implement one its a case of entering once in Monday then cut/paste into Tue-Fri. A minor gripe, but not the end of the world.
Yes - Client A, Project X and Client B, Project X. Altered A-X to change rate and from hrs to days. Came out to home page, noticed time previously entered against A-X now appeared to be for B-X (they remained 2 distinct projects though). Having spotted this went back in to (what was) A-X and put client back to A and changed project to XY.
I’m impressed by your service and getting out my credit card

Inappropriate?Just tried to recreate the above - without success. I guess its *possible* Itabbed through the client drop-down list on the project details and changed it accidentally without noticing ;)
I’m slightly sheepish!

Inappropriate?Hi James
I have also tried to reproduce it unsuccessfully. I guess it's one of those things :)
