Applications not working on htc touch pro 2!!!help

i successfully download the applications onto my htc touch pro 2, and i tried opening the program. but it didnt work. it said that the application requires a newer version of the Microsoft .NET compact framework than the version installed on the phone. what can i do? helpp please !
