Recently active problems in Gaia Online

My previous account on Gaia was banned for something apparently no one knows anything about. It was quite some time ago and i tried to have it unbanned but nothing happened. The reason was for profile bottling it said in the e-mail i received. Is that even possible?! And if it is then what the hell might it be, I haven't found anyone who has heard of it. And I find that to be completely unfair. Other than that any help would be appreciated greatly, I have many friends I haven't been able to find and would love to get back.

Oh, and some items appear to be missing from my inventory any tips on how to get those back?? They weren't taken but they aren't showing anywhere but the trades.

My main account on GAIA Blue_nanobot was blocked on March 10th along with a massave amount of other innocent fishers. Many of them were reinstated after Lanzer (The Boss) admitted it was an internal bot catcher that caused this error.

I filled out the proper appeal form in the proper timeframe allotted and I have waited 3 1/2 months without one peep from GAIA.

To issue a trophy GAIA checks out each fisher to make sure the trophy was won fair and square. I have won 17 trophies and have gone through extensive checks already. This should be very easy to correct but somehow my BAN310 hack/ban form seems to be lost in the system.

I feel ignored and unimportant after I gave so much time and money (donations) to GAIA

Please help me get reinstated so I may continue my quest to have a full set of trophies.

My name is Eric Landrum. I'm a 40 year old gentleman who has found a home for his roleplaying on your site. I went away on some business trips for the last week, installing and configuring PCs for a corporation on contract labor, and I come home to find that my cousin who I had asked to take care of my accounts and guild, got both of my accounts banned.

He had full access to my email, to both my Gaia accounts so that the Guild I started a month ago could continue to run. He apparently bought some cash from a service online (apparently because he can do this on other sites) and now my accounts are non operable.

I am requesting that someone from Customer Service please contact me at this email address, or by phone at (xxx) xxx-5361 to discuss this situation.

Daven Moto is my main account. It is the one I have spent the most time developing and it is the one I originally set up so that I could monitor my daughter's activities on Gaia. It is the account that has been developed and worked on the most. I have a guild, the Sereitei, that I started with that account, and all the admin access is on the Daven Moto account.

Joys Surprise is an account where I could play "dress up". It also became used as the mule account for the Guild, The Sereitei. As such a lot of guild donations went to that account, as well as prizes to be awarded for a contest that is currently running. The awards are now locked up and it is not just me that is suffering for this, but the entire guild.

I will, of course, give back the money he bought while in control of my account, just please let me have access to my accounts back. I am very sorry that he has been writing a lot of emails to you, but he stated that he was trying to get my accounts back before I got home. Believe me, he's in a lot of trouble right now. I will be talking to his father, my uncle very shortly about all this.

Ok so here is the deal My main Arcadia21 was banned because I went through a third party site. It said it was legit and etc. etc. and my weak minded folly is mine to wield. However I am banned permanently and I don't understand how one mistake can merit this especially since the message I got said that Gaia has the ability to reverse all transactions and the like. I did read the terms and service and I did not notice it in there but whatever I don't understand half of that anyways and I am 22. I have spent $192.50 on donation Items since I started playing in 2004/05 and this game was fun. I don't care if they take the Items I bought with the money from the third Party Site and whatever money I have left. I did make a mistake and I apologize but I have been banned for closing in on a year and I think I have learned my lesson over the course of these many months and I still think banning me forever for one discretion is a bit much.....
On another note if you read the part about going through 3rd party sites and doing so at your own risk take that to mean they will ban you forever so don't do it there are scammers everywhere.. Just a warning. So anyways thats my case if you lift the ban I play (which I would like to do) if you don't well then you don't and I won't play it probably doesn't matter to you I am sure but this is my last plea after playing on that character for three years or so I don't want to build up another one. So please have a heart and forgive my stupidity and At no point am I saying I wasn't in the wrong, I just think that my first and only (and last) mistake was buying 100,00 gold through a third party site... They just as easily could have said hey thats a no no and stopped it. Not saying I didn't deserve like some form of punishment but A permanent ban? Thats like going to jail forever for your first speeding ticket. Take the items I bought with the money back distribute them however you see fit I don't care it wasn't worth it. I spent 3 years of my life on this game, this game was my life, got me through high school, and almost 200 dollars on donations and I have learned my lesson, I think I should get a second chance is all I am saying.

On 10/30/07, my GaiaOnline account Wishbone Redemption was banned, without e-mail notification or prior infractions. I can only assume that I was banned for operating two discussion threads on pedophilia in the Extended Discussion- this was before the censorship rule came into effect. There were two threads, the first and longest titled 'Pedophilia Explained'- it was deleted nearly a week before Clause #9 of the ToS was released, and I was given no explanation. The second was titled 'Paraphilias Explained- Why Deviancy is Not a Disorder', and mentioned pedophilia only briefly and in a clinical context. I had it deleted myself after Clause #9 was released. I deleted all content that may have been interpreted as breaking the rule, and I never advocated child abuse, illegal activities, or posted anything resembling child erotica.

At the time of my primary account's banning, my second account, Wishing Bone, was simultaneously banned, along with my sister's unaffiliated account, lime_whirlpool. I believe she was banned because of our shared IP address, although I'm uncertain.

Two days after this (11/02/07), I created another account (Wishbone Returns) and identified myself as the former Wishbone Redemption. I was banned within two days. This time, however, I received an e-mail notifying me that I had 'provided material harmful to Gaian users'. I sent several inquiries, but got no response.

I believe I was banned for posting discussion threads relating to pedophilia, for stating my support for law-abiding pedophiles, and for being a member of the thrice-banned guild The Sexual Acceptance Guild, or TSAG. While GaiaOnline can certainly ban any user for any reason, I never broke policy #9, or any other, to my knowledge. I respectfully request some closure relating to this issue.

The user Mendori has posted on his banning in another topic on GetSatisfaction, where it was revealed by a site moderator that anyone who self-identifies as a pedophile will be banned from GaiaOnline, seemingly without support from the ToS. While I understand how the staff of GaiaOnline may perceive identified pedophiles as a threat the the community, I would like my case addressed. I would also like to see the following, if at all possible:

1. Please explain the policy surrounding the pedophilia controversy. Is there a definite course of action for administrators to follow when faced with a self-identified pedophile who has broken no rules, or does banning occur at the individual admin's discretion? Why was I banned, when the worst I have done is discuss pedophilia in a clinical context, and advocate acceptance for law-abiding persons?

2. Please make this policy explicitly available in the Terms of Service.

3. Please explain GaiaOnline's reasoning for this descision: it has been repeatedly stated that it is for the safety of the users, but, because Gaia's users are pubescent or postpubescent as defined by the ToS, and because none of the parties banned during the pedophilia controversy have been accused of soliciting Gaian users, minors (which would be a felony in my country) or otherwise, I suspect that it has to do with the prompting of an outside organization. I would very much appreciate a disclosure of that organization, if, indeed, there is one.

4. Please explain why my account of two years, Wishbone Redemption, was banned. I believe I was within the Terms of Service at all times. I have never identified myself as a pedophile, I removed all material relating to pedophilia the day the rule came out, and I had never had any other infractions that would justify a banning, according to the ToS. If anything, I advocated greater awareness of molester characteristics, in order to keep Gaia users safe and informed.

This inquiry is in regards to three accounts of mine (and associated mules) which were banned last year, on the charge of botting. I tried clearing up the issue back when the bans occurred, but due to an incomplete understanding of the charges against me provided by Gaia, I was not able to give a good response or case for my innocence.

The accounts in question are Skadefryd (5886886), Fatality Now (6281834), and War is Peace (6356111). During Feb '07 I fished on all three accounts with intent to win multiple trophies in the same lake, a feat previously not accomplished by any fisher. Playing on a Macintosh computer with vanilla browsers (Firefox, Mozilla, and Seamonkey, usually), I was able to fish on multiple accounts at once. This, I think, was the crux of the problem, as I fished for a bronze Durem trophy in Sept '07 in identical conditions (but only one account) and suffered no lash of justice. So whoever was in charge of fishing and game-related bans at the time of Skadefryd and co's bans (Truantduck?) clearly did not believe such a feat of multitasking was possible for a human.

However, I'd like to demonstrate to the admins of Gaia that it is indeed possible. I'd be willing to provide real world footage, video screen capture, or whatever other evidence may help demonstrate that a human was behind all the fishing, and did not appreciate being banned for the crime of giving a superior effort. I can show a video, dating to Nov '06, documenting the first stumbling efforts towards multifishing, create any demonstration required as soon as fishing is re-enabled, and even provide a couple of screenshots from Feb I took of my fishing endeavors.

Besides any material evidence, I'd also like to point anybody curious to the fact that I did not fish alone. Though I stuck to a passworded room to keep out riff-raff, I almost always had a friend (or two or three) stopping by to fish a reset or chat. At the least, I recall Bria_Teragram (She has several accounts with the name Bria_Teragram and various quantities of ), tiranaki, and bluedragonfly687 (now OBJECTIVITY) being common visitors, but many other fishers can vouch for my character and integrity.

Getting the trophies that I earned would be very nice, considering that I spent around an average of 10 hours per day, every day fishing during that month. However, I'd be plenty happy to just get my accounts back, especially Misplaced Pixels (5541018) who was my primary account.

well, my problem would be that I cannot access Gaia online website for the las 2weeks already. The accessing of the page is very slow compared to other wesites. I can't remember doing anything on the settings of my laptop because Gaia websit was working fine the day before i could access it. I would appreciate if somebody would help me and gaia moderators can help me also. I really like to play again in Gaia. Please help me. I've been hoping that everytime I access www.gaiaonline.com, there is a slow response and often the lower left part of the window would indicate something like: "looking up cdn2.gaiaonline.com..." I've refreshed my browser already, I've restarted my laptop already. How can this be fixed? Please help.

I've been a legit gaia user for 2 years now and i was wrongfully banned april 14th after my trophy run in march which i legitly took 5th place.
i have been fighing gaia to get my account back for almost a month now.
i worked hard on my accounts i have which i only used 2 at the time i was banned

i have never once botted nor have i ever wanted to im not stupid.
i was told in an email from gaia online that i botted with little user interaction i faithly spent 15- 17 hours a day in front of the comptuer or on my laptop to get where i am at on those accounts i am/was a somewhat know trophy hunter and vendor.i have been battling luekemia since the end of june in 08 i am atm still fighting the cancer everyday i logged in gaia a faithful user the last things i did before both my accounts were brongfully banned was i did my trophy run in march took 5th place bronze since the middle of febuary i had been getting email alerts that there were failed log in attempts they started getting worse on my trophy run i went to a few mods about it and they did nothing so i protected my own ass sorta speek and i transfered all my hard work i had done over the last year to my mule from the blind angel 69 to lady_b-sh .
then a day later they banned both my accounts ant told me that i botted in fishing
i have witnesses to the fact i sat here faithfully daily to earn every last thing on those accounts i have proof i didnt bot .

okay i was on jigsaw game when i suddenly logged out, not knowing what happened. so i tried logging back in and it said it was a wrong user name or password, and i know i put in the right one because i was just on that account. i have no other accounts, and i know for a fact i wasnt breaking any rules. i was, as i said, just playing the jigsaw puzzle game. my account doesnt have much, but whatever i do have is some-what expensive. i dont know what happened, but i want to know soon.

well my guy is glitched and i need help. for some reason my character cannot switch poles when he is fishing. and my guy has no pole to fish with but it says i have a fishing pole.....

Why can't I go to the Gaia Cash Shop? When I click on any link to the Gaia Cash Shop it will not open a new page or bring me to the Cash Shop.

My account Miyu888 was banned June 07. I have written numerous email to Gaia but all I get are automated responses.

I have had this Miyu888 account for 2 years already then I suddenly got banned. I have even won a few trophies but after I competed June 07 in Gambino, I was banned for botting but I didn't even do anything. I have always fished with other fishers. I have never fished by myself. I filtered out trash when I competed. I don't know what I did to get banned. I know I am innocent, I want to get my account back.

So many other innocent fishers have also been banned and because of this many are quitting Gaia.

Gaia should start being more sensitive to its users. Listen to our appeals. Investigate instead of outright banning. Tell us in detail why we were banned instead of replying with automated responses which don't answer our questions.

As for me, I'd just like to know how did I supposedly bot? Where is the evidence? Did I fish too fast? Did I vend too much? Was I online too long?(sometimes I leave it logged in then accidentally log in another computer) Is it because I log into different computers? (around 4 or 5 different computers)

I filled out the form below, concerning my banned account, asking to get a appeal on it. Since I thought that I was unfairly banned. I waited until I finally got a reply. And the reply I got didn't seem relevant to what I needed. I'm not sure what I am supposed to do about this. Am I supposed to reply back to the email, am I supposed to fill out the form once again, etc?

Concerning Snow4Sale - My main account got banned for 14 days, and was supposed to be released on the 6th of May. But I found out that it had recently been perma banned about a week ago before the release.

I PMed a mod about why and how I got perma banned. And part of what the mod replied to me said : "It looks like after you got banned on the 22rd, you logged into your mule to post a harassing thread about the real Strawberry Candylicious being banned."

I don't remember/recall me posting a thread that was meant for harassment, or even a thread about that certain user, on my mule. I looked and checked over all the topics that my main mule (this one, snow4saie), and I have no blocked/deleted threads. And none of them concerns the user that was mentioned. On my other mules as well (for references : n0obattack_12345, lipstick in love, hamsterlover619) , they either don't have any topics posted, or they just haven't posted in more then a month.

I am asking for a review for my perma ban case, and hoping for you guys to understand my misconception.

At almost exactly the same time, I was unable to log into my account with the correct password. I'm a beta tester and was able to get loie to look into the problem (I thought I had been hacked, but I had done nothing to GET hacked). She said to just reset my password. So I did.

Ever since then, I cannot log into Gaia without resetting my password first. Since the profile redirection thing and this seems related, I'm thinking Item norm has somehow made it so Gaia stops recognizing the brackets in my name, thus leading to some type of problem during login??

I can't seem to stay logged in, and there's a cap on these stupid password emails, so I'm locked out of my own account a lot. This is frustrating, and if it's related to item norm, I'd be VERY thankful if you could fix it.
