Pmog busted my firefox--help!
I installed the pmog addon to my firefox bar and now firefox won't work, even after uninstall/reinstall. Now I'm stuck in IE-land. I emailed the pmog folks and they said that the addon must have messed up my firefox and that they'd look into it. It's been several days and still no response, even after a follow-up email.
Any ideas?

We actually said the extension wasn't the culprit in your Firefox woes. Our extension does not affect Firefox more than any other add-on and Mozilla has designed its add-on system in such a way they would never completely cripple Firefox.
Have you tried creating a new profile on Firefox?

Will walk you through loading the profile manager and deleting your current one.
Also, you may want to completely uninstall and reinstall Firefox and run a mal/adware scan on your computer.
Hopefully this gets your Firefox back working for you again. -

Okay, I just tried deleting and replacing my ff profile, and that didn't help. I didn't delete my files, however, but rather reused the same info on the recreated profile. If I need to redo that and delete the files, I can.

I'm now running a Norton scan--should that catch any mal/adware?
I’m still bummed. No ff, and 2 hrs shot already.

Inappropriate?Norton didn't catch any problems on a full system scan following uninstall/reinstall. Any other ideas?? I need my ff, and I'd love to play pmog!

Inappropriate?YAY--I fixed it! When I installed the extension, I must have also gotten a more recent version of firefox, which tripped my firewall settings. All fixed now--sorry to be such a doofus!
And now I've downloaded the pmog extension again and am ready to play! :D
