Gawker Media sites are crashing Opera, will not load on any other browser either.

Several gawker media websites (Gawker, Jezebel, io9, Gizmodo, and Lifehacker) are crashing my browser. This is the latest version of Opera, run on a mac with the latest version of leopard. All ten browser crashes that I have experienced in the last three weeks have been the result of trying to load a Gawker media site; my browser is extremely stable, and I cannot emphasize how much it does not crash. Ever.
When they do not crash the browser, the sites load incorrectly, without comments, posts, video, and or entire blocks of text. I also experience these loading problems in Safari and Firefox on my mac. I also experience these problems with Opera, Firefox, and IE on my pc. This has been happening for several weeks, but I've experienced a sharp increase in the problems since the site redesign.
