How can I tell if my account has been approved?

I thought my new account on Jalopnik was approved to make comments because I succeeded in posting back on 11/14, but since then none of my comments appear. Was my first comment a false start, or do we have to audition several times? How do I know my account, littleyodapickup, has been approved?

After I hit submit, I see a message reading "Your comment has been added to the invitation queue. The comment will only appear once (or if) you're put on the list". My post shows up on the screen, but only until I refresh or browse away from the page.

Others on Jalopnik have mentioned having trouble posting in the last couple of weeks, but that seems resolved now. In case I have been deemed worthy enough to post and am just experiencing technical difficulties, I read what worked for others - but clearing the cache in both FireFox and IE made no difference.
