New Gawker Site Layout: Reading Older Posts
If you are wanting to read older posts and click on "load more posts" and then click on an article to read it, and then once done, you click "back" in your browser to continue on reading older posts, it takes you to the bottom of the main page, not to where you click on the link for the article you just read.

Inappropriate?Seriously, this isn't Twitter... why would you design a blog this way?
I’m also annoyed.

Inappropriate?recently I'm having a problem where I can't load older posts at all from firefox (rev 3.0.14). When I click on the link it sends me to a blank page and hangs (sigh). In general I'm very unhappy with this new interface. I was good with the old method.

A further update. I upgraded to firefox (rev 3.5.3) and it still hangs. It says it is waiting on cache.gizmodo.com. -
You cleared your cache, cookies, restart the computer, etc right? Standard questions I know, but sometimes its overlooked. -
yes, and in 3.5.3 it is set up the clear the cache everytime firefox closes. I get the same problem from three different computers (2 linux (redhat and Ubuntu) and one XP system. -
Inappropriate?I want the option to choose page numbers or load more please.
-
Inappropriate? It really annoying that when you choose to read the rest of post that is not on the front page, hitting back spits you out onto the 1st page. I WASN'T ON THE FIRST PAGE, I was on page 3.
With Gizmodo and Kotaku rifling off 20 or more articles a day, you have to go to then next page to see all that was posted that day. They really need to fix it so that the site remembers what page you are on. Did they not see this during the redesign?
I’m Miffed

Inappropriate?Brain damaged at the usability level. Who is the fool that has designed such a bad system ? Obviously not a reader of the "gawker" websites, nor somebody who wants readers to stay on them. Well, it made me cut down the time sent reading them every day, so maybe I should thank the fool for this.
-
Inappropriate? You are ruining my favorite site. It is devastating to get home after working an awful 10 hour shift to only discover you are missing out on stories because the website is so jacked up.
I’m Totally Depressed

Inappropriate? We've replaced "load more posts" with the original pagination for viewing pages of posts.
