Only first page of comments load in posts + Comments inaccessible thru profile page
(1) In a user's profile, when clicking on the link to a user's comment or the link to a reply to the user's comment, the page on which the comment or reply was posted appears but the comments fail to load. Refreshing the page does not rectify the issue.
(2) For all Gawker Media sites, only the first page of comments load. There is no longer a link to load more comments and, thus, no way to access older comments.
(3) Comment counter appears on front page beside post summaries as expected, but the counters do not appear in the posts themselves.
This has been a problem for at least 2 days now. Not only are tons of comments essentially disappeared from view, it's making it difficult or impossible to reply to comments or respond to replies from other users unless they happen to appear within the first page of comments of a post.
Behavior occurs in Safari (XP/OSX10.6/iPhoneOS), Firefox 3.5+, IE 8+

Inappropriate?Now you can load more posts again, but very LONG threads are still screwed up - you can't load all the comments in threads with seaveral hundred comments in them.
I just tried the Gawker live blog threads from last week - for the Top Chef one, you can lonly load about 450 our of the 900 comments in the thread. Also, the comment counter inside the post is wrong - it shows fewer comments than there really are (The counter on the outside of the post is correct - the one you see when you pull up the post thru search -- headline + opening blurb).
Also, strangely, the comment counter inside the post goes down every time you load more comments.
Project Runway thread - can only load about 250 out of 500 comments. Same problem with the counter.1 Comment

We've implemented a fix for this. You should see for instance that The Top Chef live blog is now showing a count of 907 and all those should be loading under "Earlier posts". -
