How do you deal with delivery?

What does everyone do with delivery? I find it's always different and since I live in an terrace house where they can't leave the package at the door, I find it a hassle.

I also work from multiple offices, so it's not that I can get it delivered to work and sometimes you'd rather not have to carry it home anyway.

Any tips?
