A user said that after they asked their 2nd question/comment they were required to sign up for GetSatisfaction. Is that true?

Inappropriate?Actually, they should be asked to sign up before asking their first question. Is that how you understand it to work? Can you point me to this person's dashboard?

Inappropriate?http://getsatisfaction.com/people/mic... is the user.
But first question she logged in with google. 2nd question she was asked to create a GetSatisfaction account, is that true? -
Inappropriate?I'm not completely sure but let me check with our dev team to be absolutely certain.

Inappropriate?Let me ping her again also.

Inappropriate? She said she remembers being able to post the first feedback with out logging in to anything, then when she tried to post the second one, it wouldn't let her post the comment without logging in, and it was not clear if she kept thinking she had to log in to our service (buzzbox, which she was already logged in to). Eventually she logged in with some google account credentials, and posted the second comment.

Inappropriate?Hey, thanks for clarifying this.
I checked, and this is the way it currently works: If a customer logs in with a Google account (et. al.), then comes back the second time, they may hit the default log-in, which shows the Get Satisfaction tab, but they can still log in with Google (et. al.). We do plan to set the default for a user based on their last log in type, although that functionality isn't in there yet.
However, she would have had to log-in somehow the first time. (We do offer a "FastPass" way that companies can automatically pass over their users, but for everyone else, you have to create an account to post.) It appears she used Google but has not set a Get Satisfaction password. So, it appears she's only using a Google credential to log in.
Hope this helps in some way, and let me know if I'm missing anything or if I can dig deeper or explain it better. -
Inappropriate? Thanks. I think that solves the issue. I think like on Twitter Apps, when you log in once with Google it keeps you logged in. Or you just log-in with Google again and don't have to create a 2nd password.
I think that is the whole purpose and thread you had on this. I want a good experience for people putting in feedback with the least amount of effort on their part. Active users are key to getting good feedback.
I’m undecided

Inappropriate?Anu, I think that the only thing missing from our new identity system is a screen where users can actively manage multiple ways they may want to log in -- well, for those folks who look to that level of detail. We have that provisioned. Just needs some finishing touches.
I think that for people who don't look to the very detailed level, Facebook Connect is a great answer. I know I use it, and I'm glad we now support it. For our Pro accounts, the default log-in type can also be set, so that perhaps is another way to simplify things for users.
