Allow creator to edit topic after leaving comment
Request: Don't lock the editing of a topic if the only commenter is the creator of the topic.

- Left a comment because I missed the "edit topic" link.
- Was then unable to edit the topic after submitting comment
- Deleted my comment, then I was able to edit my topic.

Inappropriate?I believe the way it works is that you have fifteen minutes to edit either topics or replies. Sounds like maybe fifteen minutes had already passed. We plan on extending the time to be an indefinite amount of time for editing your own topics/replies, with notes in the change log. Would that be a better route?

It actually sounds like he was still within his 15 minute window because he left a comment and was then unable to edit his topic. He deleted the comment and was suddenly able to edit his topic.
You're right, Beau, that the ability to edit/delete your own post is 15 minutes OR before a reply / comment is made -- whichever comes first. We set it up this way to prevent content from being altered dramatically, thus possibly rendering any subsequent replies nonsensical. However, we recognize that this is more of an edge case and, as Eric mentioned above, we do plan to extend the editing window on your own content. So it's on the map, just not sure how high of a priority.
You do make a good point that if replies or comments are left by the sole contributor to the topic, they should still be allowed to edit their content.
