Allow periods in company support boards' URIs
I think GetSatisfation should allow periods in company support forum' URIs. example_com doesn't look good for example.com, Inc.
I don't even think IE 1.0 would treat example.pdf as a pdf file as long as it is sent with an HTML MIME type. Also, if you do add support for periods and a company already has their support forum at foobar_example instead of foobar.example, would you allow it to be changed if the company requested it?
I also noticed that when you try to use them, you get this surprising error "Domain can't be saved. Please only use letters, numbers, underscores or dashes for your company's url on Get Satisfaction".
It's surprising because the warning to the right says "No spaces. only numbers, letters and underscores" and doesn't mention anything about dashes, which are preferred over underscores in many cases.

Inappropriate?I'll have to pull in someone with more technical expertise, but others have voiced similar opinions -- or sort of similar. I'll see if I can get someone with a big brain to weigh in here because I know we do have reasons behind our current choice. Stay tuned!
I’m checking it out
