Any plans for an interface makeover?
Great ideas here! Unfortunately, I don't find the interface terribly intuitive. It's very busy and loaded with too many words in arrangements that don't always lend themselves to easy navigation of the platform. It's easy to get lost, and I'm not one to be easily lost in information. =) Are there any plans to revamp the interface?

Inappropriate?Yes, in fact. We will be doing a site redesign in 2009. We're pretty excited about it, although it's still in the planning stages. We're laying the groundwork for it this week with a special group activity we've been working on. We'll be offering some customization options for companies so that their home page in our system can be tweaked and changed, although as I say, the details haven't been worked out just yet.

Inappropriate? Thanks, Eric! I'm very excited then, too.
I think what you guys have going here is awesome. I hope that you can rework the interface to improve its usability. I wish I could offer some specific suggestions for UI improvement, but I'm not a designer. I guess outsourcing to a design studio is always an option. =)
In any case, I would like to make one note in terms of suggesting a paradigm shift. There are LOTS of words on GetSatisfaction -- and the most important ones should probably be those that pass between customer and company. The more you can pare down your interface to intuitive icons (perhaps with hover-over tags), the more usable it will become. There are loads of words all over the interface, and it just gets highly busy. To wit: http://www.brainrules.net/vision
I think the service providers (people like and me) will eventually gain familiarity with the interface and learn to block out the noise. But our users will not be using the interface as much as we are, so they won't have that advantage. That disconnect would worry me.
Anyway, thanks again for your timely responses. I really appreciate it, and look forward to all the progress you guys will make, the time I'll save, and the service and support we can provide!

Inappropriate? Thanks for the feedback, Michael. We'll be sure to share this with our design team.
It's always a tricky balance to simplify and keep things clean while also providing enough guidance and additional cues for those who need / want it.
I’m looking forward to our re-design
