Implement a points system to rank users

I think users tend to participate more when recognized for their contributions. Enabling a points system for things like:

- asking a question
- answering a question
- when other users find your answer useful
- etc.

would REALLY encourage users to participate. Then you'd have a couple user leaderboards like one for "all time" and another for "best contributors in the last week" (so newer members would still get a kick out of contributing).

I think this would really encourage more participation. If you want to see a system like this in all it's glory checkout backcountry dot com.
