Burying topics does not remove them from search results
We have a lot of resolve issues which have now been fixed and when we bury the topic to tidy things up, they still appear in the Latest Topics list. Shouldn't it remove them?
I also got some "Can't get no satisfaction" messages last night when i was trying to do this.

Inappropriate?Hey, Alex. Sorry for the delay in responding. Busy!
Burying removes it from search, but it doesn't immediately remove it from the activity stream. As new topics are created or promoted, that buried topic will move down further and further into the past, but only "Remove" will take it out of search and the stream.
But, if you expect it to be removed from the stream, that is good feedback for us. Feel free to elaborate if you like. I think our intention with bury is to signify that a topic is out of date -- an update has made it irrelevant, the feature described in the topic was removed from the product, the policy of the company has changed, etc. -
Inappropriate?I also expected "buried" topics to move to the bottom of the Activity Stream. My CEO did as well, and wasn't impressed when I told him "burying" really just removes it from search results but doesn't move it in the activity stream. (The word "bury" implies that it will be moved lower.) Something along the lines of "remove from search results" would be more accurate since that appears to be the only thing it does.
Unless it's been entered elsewhere, this should be an idea...
I’m meh.

Inappropriate?I thought that burying would remove it from the activity stream. I am trying to get confirmation from the dev team about this. I will get back to you as soon as I have an answer.

Inappropriate?Hi Jamie,
You're right -- it doesn't actively move the topic down, however, as new topics come in it does get "buried" as it doesn't pop back up to the top of the activity stream, even if there's new activity on the buried topic. I guess you could say it freezes it in time in the activity stream from the moment "bury" was applied to it.
