Can private information be passed from user to user?
Upon beta will we be able to pass private / confidential information through some sort of messaging tool on Satisfaction?

We do indeed have a private messaging system in the works. The plan is to allow users to opt for a new message/topic to be "private" upon submission. More info to come.

Inappropriate?No, don't be sorry. Although we have talked about private messaging (as we did in this topic nearly a year ago), I don't think we'll have that very soon. We may not end up implementing it at all, as we put a lot of emphasis on being open and transparent, and that includes putting as much of the interaction between people as possible out in the open.
That said, we do plan to have a way to pass sensitive customer information in a private way between company employees and the customers they're trying to help out.

Thanks for the feedback. As you can see, a year ago we thought we'd be building out private messaging soon. However, as is so common with small companies, other features have taken priority. We're learning never to say "it's coming soon" unless we know it is actually being worked on! :)
Your request is a little more specific, though, and I can say that we have plans for a suite of team tools and are considering an employee assignment and backchannel communication feature as part of that. It would be great, actually, if you added your request as a new Idea topic here so that others will have more chance of seeing it and can add their support to the idea too!
