Can't account creation-via-openid be made simpler?
Why is creating an account with openid slower than creating an account without? I seem to have just been driven through the entire signup process, including email confirmation, which strikes me as overkill. Perhaps I've just been coddled by how easy stackoverflow.com makes this.

Inappropriate?Yeah, those guys do have a good OpenID sign-up process. Maybe we can lose the email confirmation. I don't know if this is feasible in the short term, as we have such a wealth of development tasks and a small group to do them, but we do appreciate the feedback -- especially when it is coupled with examples.
