Inappropriate?Hey amagill, we're sorry to hear that you can't sign up! I know that the specific error message you reference is about the text you entered in the box for your url on Get Satisfaction.
What exact text did you put into that box? Only letters and numbers are allowed in the url, so if you've put the . in your name, then that's the reason it's invalid.
I have to apologize for the the confusing error message, but I hope this helps you sign up! -
Not only is the error message cryptic, but the "domain" that was invalid (which on the form is called "URL") was HIDDEN until the user clicks on the "company name" field again.
So (a) you HAVE to make those error message intelligible; and
(b) *highlight* the problem area, rather than hiding it. :)
The similar message "Domain has already been taken" also needs fixing. -
Inappropriate?amagill, have you had any luck trying again? we still want to help!

Inappropriate?I just had the same problem signing up my company (Easy! Designs, LLC) and the fact that the field in question is hidden by default is problematic. Perhaps if the system looked for an invalid domain before the form was rendered and exposed this field if it wasn't valid so someone could edit it, the process would be a lot smoother.
I’m happy to help
