Can you make the e-mails come from unique addresses, so that I can have them sort via filters easily? I'm now tracking numerous companies using Get Satisfaction, and I'm getting all sorts of e-mail notices that all look identical.
Even if you had the source address be "noreply.company@getsatisfaction.com" or "noreply.product@getsatisfaction.com" I would be able to have my e-mail program sort them properly into folders. Or, if you could have the source of the e-mail be "getsatisfaction@company.com" ...
Anything would be better than the mess that I have now ... which is all of the mails going into one folder with no simple way to sort them by company/product that I am dealing with.

I’m
thankful
I like it. it would be very simple to implement also.
Assuming none of my team members/bosses have an issue with this, I'll write the code to make this change on monday. -

Cool! It'll make things much easier to manage. I have to admit that now I'm bummed I missed your session at Web 2.0! This is pretty cool stuff!

Alright, I've checking in this code, and I'll probably deploy it sometime tonight.
From now on, when you receive email messages they should be of the form noreply.apple@getsatisfaction.com or noreply.timbuk2.getsatisfaction.com if they pertain to a specific company. We presently don't send out notifications attached to a specific product, but when those come up i'll use this form also.
Thanks!-
What about subject line?

Hi there - I read through this thread and am wondering how I could implement something like this for our various products. We have numerous products and they all arrive as emails to "Roadrunner Records" - it'd be great if there was some differential based on what product the feedback pertained to.
Even changing the line within the body of the email where it says:
"Jon Satterley just shared this idea in Roadrunner Records:"
for instance to say "Jon Satterley just shared this idea in Roadrunner Records about this product: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX"
I could then easily set up filtering rules in Gmail (where I catch all these emails) to forward them through to other people in my organization.-
I see what you're getting at. Since your idea is different from the one mentioned in this topic I'd recommend starting a new topic (unfortunately we're still working on a way to fork replies :(
