Change in the format
I found every reply to a topic carried the original description. This becomes a bit tedious. Can we have the normal thread format with the latest on top and only a single occurrence of the original topic at the bottom??

Inappropriate?Hi Srini,
Are you talking about the email updates or the Web pages? -
Inappropriate?Hi Thor
I am talking about web pages -

Inappropriate?I am talking about GetSatisfaction pages in the sense some of the companies linked to it. For example pl look at recent Slideshare pages in GetSatisfaction wherein a complaint by one Spiderweb99 is published. There are repetitions of the original complaint with each response. I hope it is clear to you all what I am trying to suggest.

Inappropriate?Hi SRINI, I think I understand now. It's confusing when a reply is both listed on top and below in the flow of conversation. I'm sorry about that, and I've redesigned the way the People's Pick and Official Responses look when they've been voted to the top. The new version will be coming out pretty soon now. It's still not a perfect fix, but we'll keep iterating! If you have any suggestions, or if you see any examples let me know!
I’m confident we'll get the flow smoothed out.

Inappropriate?Hi Leslie
Thanks for the response. The way this chain is designed is good enough as an example. Probably the only change I wd imagine that can be done is reverse the order.. the latest message on top some thing you get in many email threads. -
Inappropriate? That's an interesting issue in itself. Some email threads do it that way, and some like Gmail go in chronological order. I feel that chronological is much more readable when you're trying to follow a whole conversation and that reverse chronological is implemented to cater to advance users who checking back in on a topic, and also as a hack for those situations where a long conversation would require a painful paging-back process. Are you keeping up with this conversation here on Satisfaction or are you checking your email?
I’m curious

Inappropriate?I guess it is a matter of preference latest first or traditional chronological order. Since you mentioned that, I dont in fact like Gmail's way! But there is merit in both choices.
I check email and that's my gateway to here! And that's where the whole thing started. May be you should think a little out of the box - get away from the binary mode of top down or bottom up modes to something else... I wish I cd offer a more specific suggestion right now, though!
Must say you are wonderful with quick responses. Thanks!
I’m happy, thankful

Inappropriate?Hello!
Conversations are a linear flow, so getting too far out of the box can cause a lot of irritation for people trying to follow along. I've seen a lot of experimental work, for example MIT's sociable media group: http://smg.media.mit.edu/projects.html
So when you check your email is it coming in reverse chron. and then you switch to our site and the order has switched?
I’m a fan of being smart in the box
