Claim your Get Satisfaction site!
If you see a company or organization in Get Satisfaction that you own or work for and it doesn't have any employees associated with it yet you can claim it. How? you ask. We like employees to get involved so we give you several ways:
1. Go directly to this page and type in your company name then follow the steps to claim it.
2. On a company's Get Satisfaction site to the right of their name there will be some text that says "No one from 'company x' has sponsored, endorsed, or joined the conversation yet." Click the "Learn how to get involved" link. If there are already employees affiliated it will say "X [company name] employees are here listening and participating" instead.
3. Once you add a company to Get Satisfaction you'll be given the option to claim it.
4. On the "Companies & Organizations" page you'll see a "Claim it!" link on the right above the list of recently added companies.
In the final three cases you'll be taken to a page where you can learn more about Get Satisfaction and click the "Claim it!" link
or search for your company then click the "Claim it" link.
You'll be asked to fill out a form with some basic information.
Next we'll need to confirm your affiliation with the company. This can take up to about two business days. The more proof you can give us of your affiliation with the company the faster your claim will be approved. For instance, an email address with a domain that matches the company's official URL helps tremendously. We highly recommend that you go though the email verification process with your official company email address while claiming your company. Once we've verified your affiliation with your company we'll set your role within your company's Get Satisfaction site and you'll be good to go! You'll get an email at that point that points you in the right direction for what to do next.
If you have any further questions about the claim process please post them here in our Get Satisfaction site or email me at amy [at] getsatisfaction [dot] com.

Inappropriate? It's late, i'm tired, and half-awake, so I might have read it wrong. I went to claim my company, Beanstalk, but the message below said:
Are you an employee or owner of Apple? Get involved ...
If you're involved with Apple,...
What does Apple have to do with Beanstalk? Is this a typo carried over from mockups?
-Chris
I’m confused, tired.

Inappropriate? How long does it take? I haven't gotten an email or phone call yet (claimed my company yesterday). On a related note, the system still gives me an option to claim the company which makes me wonder if the first claim submission got lost (I'm sure it didn't, but it might be worth fixing the display to say "We're processing your claim/request/whatever!")

Inappropriate?Ask, It can take a couple days, depending on how you provide your information.
In your case, I couldn't find any personal information on the site you are claiming that proves you own it. Your email is in a different domain, I can't find your name under the contact us page, etc.
In this case, we need to call you which can take a bit longer. Amy or one of my other bosses should be contacting you.
Also, we enable claims to be made at any point, even if someone else has a claim request in. We collect them all, because the first person to make a claim could be some trickster not actually affiliated with the company. -
Inappropriate?Hi Scott,
Thanks for the reply. :-) Yeah, it's a little tricky to verify the relationship between solfo.com and yellowbot.com. Solfo is our corporate entity. If you look at the Yellowbot.com about page - http://www.yellowbot.com/about/about.... - then you can see on the right hand side that the "jobs" link goes to solfo.com. :-)

Inappropriate?"Also, we enable claims to be made at any point, even if someone else has a claim request in. "
My thought was that when I put in a claim request myself it shouldn't show *me* the option to put in another one. -
Inappropriate?Fair Enough. I just went and approved the claim. You should receive an email giving you some tips on the how to build and manage your community.

Inappropriate?Awesome - thank you!

Inappropriate?hmm ... that http://www.yellowbot.com site looks very similar to http://www.isearchnewyork.com Are they twins? ))))

Inappropriate?Hi Mike,
No - we don't have anything to do with them. Their domain registration is private and I couldn't find any contact information on that site, so I don't know who's making it.
