Company search is going to be a must--or is it staring me in the face and I'm missing it?
I landed on the "Companies" page, and thought "Hey, let's see if anyone has commented on the Aliph Jawbone bluetooth headset" since I just bought one, and it's bugging my inner ear. "Maybe someone's come up with a 'make it less itchy' hack."
I looked for the "Search" box that would allow me to type in "Aliph" or "Jawbone" and found none.
"Huh," I thought. I looked around some more. "Weird, am I supposed to scroll? Oh well, I'll just use Ctrl-F--I hope all the companies are on this page!"
Now unless, I'm missing something, as soon as there are more than a handful of web too dot oh companies on here--there's gonna be a need for company search, right?
(if this thread is elsewhere, whoops. I DID search within Satisfaction for a "company search" thread, and didn't find it. Someone asked for a user-search tho')

Inappropriate?Great point! This is an important part of the flow that is currently missing in this early beta incarnation, but it is definitely in the works.

Inappropriate?Thanks much for the input petekazanjy. BTW, there is a brief conversation about the Jawbone going on over at the Apple Satisfaction site, but we don't have cross company search yet so it didn't come up when creating your topic here about the Jawbone.
And we don't have a site started for Jawbone itself yet. But we'll take care of that shortly!

Inappropriate?I would second/third the request for search. It's usually one of the first features I look for when signing up to a new site.
Additionally, it would be great to enable pagination for the companies. It's already becoming unwieldy to sort through companies. I would also be interested in understanding how you plan to deal with namespace collisions.
On the plus side, I like the general look and feel.

Inappropriate?Thanks! We do have topic search, by the way, just not company search. You can search for existing questions, problems, ideas and talk in the search box in the upper right corner.

I just noticed this but the search box does not seem to appear for all the pages. Might I suggest that search be included on all pages?
For instance. on my dashboard page, I do not see the search box

Inappropriate?hi, Jauderho. The issue for right now is that our search setup is company-specific, and since your dashboard runs across multiple companies, we can't quite turn it on there yet.
We know this is an issue, and we're working on it -- getting the search to work sitewide (and getting it to search not just topics by company but also people, products, tags, etc.) is a definite priority for us.

Inappropriate?Sorting of the Companies page would be insanely helpful, e.g. A-Z, recent activity, industry, would be a great start.

Inappropriate?If possible when implementing the search feature to be able to do a specific company as well as cross company search or at least separate the findings.

Inappropriate?I think you're right. It makes a lot of sense to have a general topic search with the results separated about if you're inside a company space.
