Disable topic types
How can I disable the 'Ask a question' and 'Report a problem' topic types? We want to use GetSatisfaction to capture ideas and praise, but we have separate infrastructure for support topics (mailing lists) and bug reporting (a bug tracker). Having those features duplicated here won't work for us.

Inappropriate?I don't know if this is really possible. I will have to check with the developers. It doesn't seem like something we've intended to work this way. Are you using the API?

There's an API? :-) All we want is a hosted site where we can ask people to suggest ideas and vote on them. It seems a shame that there's no way to turn off questions and problem reporting. A lot of people will have existing infrastructure for one or both of these. -

Inappropriate?Yes, we do have an API that some companies use to host elements of our site on their site, but we don't offer the capability to turn off specific topic types on our site. I guess our focus is more about customer service and two-way conversation than more one-way-oriented feedback. But, I definitely recognize that this is what some people would prefer. I'll be sure and share this with the team here and maybe turn this question into an idea.

Inappropriate?would definitely be useful. we want to use get satisfaction, but we already use issue tracking software for "problems" (bugs) and "ideas" (features). two competing systems would be a total mess.
we want getsatisfaction for the "questions" and "praise". we would still have two-way conversations with our users and be involved.
I don't really like getsatisfaction's stance that there always needs to be a holistic view of each organization, with problems/criticism in the mix. organizations may want to use getsatisfaction purely as a certain type of online community they rather not host themselves.
