do not keep the name of deleted users
Since you keep a copy of every messages written on GetSatisfaction, even if a user has deleted his account, it could be useful to change the name of deleted users to something like "user_348923".
I share this idea because it can be weird to see your name on a service you don't use anymore (and in some countries like France, it's illegal to keep the name of a user who has deleted his account).
Thanks.

Inappropriate?I suppose this could be a way to do it. You can always change your username before closing your account. Maybe an "anonymize" button would help?

Inappropriate? To put your mind at east, we don't store user names in the database once they've been deleted by a user. However, the open issue is that the user dashboard/profile page is currently cached for a long time, and a user's persona may appear here as they previous used it, even after it's been changed. (The change will appear immediately on individual topic pages, however)
We're going to be rehauling the user dashboard/profile page, though, and this will eliminate the problem of old user information (such as name) appearing once a user has anonymized their account. We're also very interested in increasing privacy controls over time.
Thanks for your feedback, Jérémie!
