Inappropriate?Hi, Scabr. Obviously I'm biased, since I'm on of the people working on it, but I would say Get Satisfaction works *surprisingly* well. Consider my recent encounter with LinkedIn, where I was angry at them about spamming my gmail contacts, and they responded.
Historically I wouldn't have had a good way to either vent my frustration or see corrective measures taken -- I would've just emailed customer support and never heard back (We've all had that happen, right?) But with Get Satisfaction, I was able to address the issue publicly, get the response I needed, and even have a real *conversation* with two LinkedIn employees that ended with all of us feeling, well, satisfied.
Can't get much better than that.
And if you look around our site, you'll see that happen again and again and again -- whether it's customers talking to employees, employees helping customers, or customers helping customers. It's a new way of thinking about customer service, one that embraces conversation as a way to realize efficiencies for companies *and* happiness for customers. And it seems to be working so far!
