Inappropriate? That's correct. That's a problem with the way Flash works. This is something we plan to improve in a near-term version of the widget.
-
Inappropriate?can you give us a sense of what 'near-term' means so we may plan accordingly? days/weeks/more?
I’m confused
-
Inappropriate?with the appropriate caveats about startups and ever-changing schedules: ideally, weeks, but it may be a couple months, and it definitely won't be before the end of the year.
-
Inappropriate? We found the solution for this problem: You can set the Flash transparent with wmode="transparent".
I’m excited

Inappropriate? We've also solved this in the widget code. Now our code will flip the Flash transparency automagically!
I’m thrilled

Inappropriate?Hi Thor,
for me it doesn't flip 'automagically. please see the screen shoots below and advice:
firefox:
IE 8
PS: the black square is a flash object created via javascript that runs on body load.
I’m confused
-
Inappropriate?putting wmode="transparent" manually in the flash object does work!
Projektwerk, good job! :)
I’m happy
-
Inappropriate?wmode="transparent" worked well. thank you.
BUT BEWARE TO USE IT IN SOME CASES. It will cause the Flash to disable foreign language input: http://getsatisfaction.com/inpreso/to...
