Get Satisfaction as a Salesforce App?
Salesforce is installed in many a Support Org, including ours,... seems like offering a version of GS for Salesforce AppExchange could be a good idea. GS would be providing a community-based funnel for support issues into Salesforce while vetting ideas and questions across the customer community.
Salesforce Appexchange has a "Community Mgmt" section classified under "Support" apps,... but, interestingly, no apps are currently offered there.

Inappropriate?Very interesting idea, NJ. I have no familiarity with Salesforce as a user. Perhaps you could connect us with someone who is knowledgeable about creating applications for AppExchange? I'm sure I can google it and find out a fair bit of information, but it's always nice to talk to people who really know thier stuff, as it sounds like you do.

Inappropriate?If this becomes a valid Idea it would be good to see this work with the Salesforce Customer Portal built using Apex and Visualforce. Please do not limit this to track Idea, Questions, Issues etc as just Salesforce Cases. That is what most Community/Salesforce integrations look like and to be frank it is a lazy answer to a much better solution. Build the Getsatisfaction Community on Visualforce would not only allow the exposure of the Community via Salesforce's Customer Portal but via Force Sites (Public Web site Platform).
