I read a blog post that turned me off to your site
This entire site is kind of a shakedown. If a business chooses not to participate in your little start-up venture it's accused of being uncommitted "to open conversation about its products and services." If the company doesn't even know they have a forum on your site, they just look like they're ignoring their customers' comments. You need to make it clearer that you're in no way affiliated with or authorized by the companies you create these forums for. At the very least, your unauthorized use of these companies' logos is probably copyright infringement.

I have this problem, too!
Tell me when someone solves it.
The more people who report this problem, the more it gets noticed.

The company thinks this is not a problem.

Inappropriate?Hi Larry. Thanks for your comments.
Just to be clear -- Anyone can add a company to GS. About 90% of them are now created by the companies themselves and the other 10% are created by customers who want to talk with other customers about a company's products and services. -
hey amy! why dont you make a little badge for the left hand site of a profile pic for employees saying "OFFICIIAL" ?
good idea?

Hi Alex,
Well, that's what the green "employee" badge is meant to indicate - that the employee is participating here and is an official representative of the company. Are you thinking that it needs to be clearer? -
Inappropriate? This is likely the most important thing that can be said about this site. This company's activities go far beyond allowable trademark use. Hopefully they piss someone off soon, and get shutdown forever.

tusk, I'm happy to try and explain how our site works, if you are willing to listen. Let me know!
