GetSatisfaction + iPhone = ?
Are there any plans to develop a mobile version of the site or native application for iPhone users to better manage customers while AFK?

Inappropriate?Yeah, it is certainly something we want to do. Right now we're concentrating on making the full experience better and more valuable as a company, but I know that Thor and I have both played around with an iphone interface independently as side projects. Neither of them were ready for primetime, but as an office full of iphone users, I would imagine the iphone will get the majority of our attention when we ramp up our mobile experience.

Inappropriate?Hi Mark,
Great question. I am curious to know how you could imagine using Get Satisfaction on your phone. Do you think that you would use it in much the same way as you do now? Or are there certain things that you could see focusing on with a mobile version? This will give us great food for thought as we begin thinking about improving GS on the phone.

I’m excited

Inappropriate?Initial prototype focus I could see being an employee workflow. That is, providing a streamlined interface that focuses on providing support to customers. A dashboard would be a likely view for the user to get a 5000 foot view and the ability to provide one of the four types (question, idea, problem, discussion).
One important area especially as I envision how I will be performing as an employee for my indie software business is keeping a watchful eye on problems (purportedly "bugs") and the quantity of users affected by 'em. Likewise features... One of the reasons I signed up with Get Satisfaction is I felt that efficient "me too" tracking is the only communal way to decide which bugs and features need to be attended to first and foremost.
Just some quick ideas. I recommend you guys check out OmniGraffle's (for you Mac types) iPhone stencil. Much faster for creating mockups than using the Photoshop CS3 template. I'm doing this for my own apps as well.
I’m thankful for your interest

Inappropriate?I would second Mark's comments. The idea that the app let you check things when traveling, at dinner and other times where you just cannot use a browser on a real computer. I would go for a custom app rather than just a browser interface on the iPhone so you can manage the user experience better.
As an iPhone user I find I can leave the Mac portable behind more often as I can do the basic message checking, etc from my phone. Hence the preference to make sure I can check everything when there is an emergency, etc.
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?I'm currently developing a Tumblr posting/dashboard checking application, and the thought occurred to me that users should be able to leave feedback from within my application, perhaps via a mobile interface as has been mentioned...
That would add the application quality as well as more coverage for getsatisfaction too!
I’m curious

Inappropriate?Good idea.... i had a similar experience to what Sahil is envisaging. i was using the Buxfer mobile site, had a bit of feedback for them, and then was transported to the GS main site, which was not all that good a user experience on a mobile. if customers have feedback or complaints, it needs to be dead easy for thm to leave them, with as little hassle as possible! so a mobile interface would be great...
I’m hopeful

Inappropriate?I'm looking forward to a Mobile site! :) A Window's mobile application similar to the iPhone app would be cool also!
Thank for your an AWESOME website!
I’m confident!

Inappropriate? To echo the suggestion, a mobile-enabled version of Get Satisfaction would massively enhance the support service we're offering to our customers. As a mobile device manufacturer, it's the natural place to provide support, esp for an audience more frequently online via their mobile phone than via their computer.
Happy to volunteer to help you develop / test / roll out this channel (please don't think of it just as a feature - it's a new way to engage with audiences for whom GS isn't yet accessible)!
I’m optimistic
